CITY OF MALOLOS, Bulacan – At least 1,180 persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) at the Bulacan Provincial Jail (BPJ) here have received their booster shots against coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19).
In an interview on Wednesday, Governor Daniel R. Fernando said Pfizer and AstraZeneca vaccines were used for the booster rollout program spearheaded by the Provincial Health Office-Public Health.
Fernando said 755 PDLs were inoculated with booster shots last Saturday and 425 others last Monday.
He said everyone in the province has the right to be protected against the threat of Covid-19 as the provincial government tries its best to provide protection for all the Bulakenyos through the intensified vaccination program.
“Bawat isa po sa lalawigan ng Bulacan ay pinagsusumikapan nating mabigyan ng bakuna, lalo na po itong booster shot para maging buo ang panlaban natin sa sakit. Karapatan po ng lahat na maging protektado at sinisuguro ko po na walang sinuman ang malalagpasan at maiiwan (We are trying to give vaccines to everyone in the province of Bulacan, especially booster shots for our full protection against the disease. It is the right of everyone to be protected and I want to assure that no one would be left behind),” the governor said.
He added that the booster rollout will continue until all the 1,800 targeted PDLs are inoculated. (PNA)
