Korean Air increases Manila flights

MANILA – South Korea's flag carrier Korean Air (KAL) has increased its daily services between Incheon and Manila to thrice daily.

"Incheon-Manila has always been a popular route, and the demand this winter is expected to be even stronger," KAL Spokesperson Kamin Jeong told the Philippine News Agency on Monday.

The thrice daily service is above the pre-Covid levels, Kamin said, adding they are hoping the customers would benefit from the expanded schedule options.

The thrice daily flights between Manila and Incheon started last Oct. 29, the beginning of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) winter schedule.

Asked whether KAL also plans to increase frequencies between Korea and other Philippine airports, Kamin said, they continue to explore possibilities.

"We don't have anything specific now, but we will continue to explore new possibilities in the Philippines," Kamin said.

Aside from Manila, KAL also has a daily flight to Cebu. (PNA)
