MANILA – The seven-day positivity rate for the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) in the National Capital Region (NCR) increased to 3.2 percent as of March 18.
Over Twitter, independent monitoring group OCTA Research fellow Dr. Guido David said on Monday that the region’s positivity rate the previous week (March 11) was lower at 2.2 percent.
"The positivity rates in NCR and other major provinces and regions remained LOW at less than 5 percent," David said.
These provinces include Batangas, 1.7 percent; Bulacan, 1.3 percent; Cavite, 3.5 percent; Cebu, 2.7 percent; Iloilo, 1.2 percent; Laguna, 1.7 percent; Negros Occidental, 1.4 percent; Pampanga 2 percent; and Pangasinan 2.5 percent.
However, positivity rates increased in Davao del Sur, 5.7 percent from last week’s 5.2 percent; Misamis Oriental, 17.1 percent from 11.1 percent; and South Cotabato, 13.2 percent from 10.5 percent.
